Security
Updated: October 14, 2026
Your unit trusts us with its information. No online service can promise perfect security, but here is how we keep yours safe.
How we keep your information safe
- Kept to your unit — Wardzen is built so each unit's information stays with that unit, and leaders see what their calling needs. Automated tests check this regularly.
- Leaders only — Only leaders sign in to Wardzen, and your unit can remove someone's access when they're released.
- Encrypted connections — Connections to Wardzen are encrypted.
- Where it runs — Wardzen runs in the United States, behind Cloudflare's network.
- Passwords — Sign-in is handled by Google's sign-in service, and Wardzen doesn't store passwords. If you sign in only with Google, its 2-Step Verification protects your Wardzen account too.
- Payments — Payments are handled by Paddle. Wardzen never sees your card details.
- Change history — Leaders can see a history of changes to their unit's records.
- No AI features — Wardzen's features don't send your unit's information to AI services.
- Backups — We back up regularly and keep an encrypted copy in a second location.
- Security checks — We regularly check Wardzen for security problems.
- If something goes wrong — If a security problem affects your unit's information, we'll tell your unit's leaders.
Church membership records stay out
Wardzen is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and it doesn't connect to Church systems. Church membership records belong in Church systems, so we ask that they stay out of Wardzen.
- No record numbers or birth dates — Wardzen has no place for membership record numbers or birth dates, and it blocks them when it spots them.
- Nothing copied from Church systems — Our Terms don't allow data from LCR, MLS or other Church systems.
- Cleared after recording — Details that belong in Church records are cleared from Wardzen after they're recorded there.
